GETTING STARTED
Getting started is very easy! Please reach out by phone or through the contact form HERE(phone is preferred). If you get my voicemail, please leave a message with your name and phone number, and I will call you back as soon as I am available. Once we speak and mutually agree to scheduling an appointment, I will ask you to complete my online, new-patient information form, and we will tentatively schedule an appointment. Once the form is completed and received, I will text you to confirm our appointment time and location. That’s all there is to it!
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing. Most people wear clothes like they would wear to the gym or a yoga class. I do ask that you please not wear revealing or inappropriate clothing.
I will always check in with you within 24 hours of your first visit, usually the evening of. This is to see how you are feeling and answer any questions you have. From there we will decide together your need (or desire) for subsequent care. As I have said elsewhere, I do not sell “long term care plans.”
This depends somewhat on the purpose of our visit – whether you are seeking acute pain relief or if you are interested in a spinal rehabilitation or maintenance type of treatment. But our first encounter will always involve a detailed health history, and an in-depth look into your chief complaint(s). I also like to review review any supplements you are taking as well as get a sense of things like your sleep habits, any exercise program you are participating in, any injuries or surgeries that I should be aware of etc. If I decide it is safe and appropriate to adjust you, the remainder of the visit will be dedicated towards that.
You will not. However, for certain soft tissue techniques (deep tissue manual therapy, GRASTON etc.) I may need to access your skin. In these cases, if men are comfortable removing their shirt, they may do so. For women, I invite you to come prepared wearing a sports bra or similar type of top. But this can be decided at the first visit for subsequent visits. Your comfort is always my highest priority.
GENERAL
BoDax Mobile Chiropractic is a concierge, fully equipped, mobile chiropractic practice that brings personal, attentive, safe chiropractic and rehabilitative services to your home, business, vacation rental – anywhere you want – for a very reasonable price.
No. Although I practiced in traditional brick-and-mortar practices for years, my entire practice is now mobile.
It’s incredibly convenient
Time that would have been spent sitting in traffic and waiting rooms can be used more productively. Or you could just kick back and relax in your own comfortable environment.
100% doctor-patient time
With many clinics, you’re only with the doctor for a few minutes and spend the rest of the time with staff. My sessions are one-on-one the entire time.
I never rush through appointments
Busy clinics need to see high volume in order to pay their overhead. I purposely maintain a low volume practice so I can spend more time with patients.
It’s more personal
Dealing with health-related issues can be frustrating and stressful, especially when your doctor doesn’t spend the time to really listen and understand what you’re going through. But when a caring health professional comes to your home, listens to your concerns, answers your questions, and doesn’t rush you through appointments, it can help the healing process immensely.
Yes. I am licensed in New York State (Lic # 010044) and carry malpractice insurance with NCMIC

Chiropractors can have vastly different approaches to patient care. My approach is more personalized and comprehensive than most because I don’t need to rush through appointments like busy clinics do.
Typical chiropractic clinics have very high overhead due to space lease, staff, and equipment leases. High overhead requires high volume to cover those bills. In order to have a high-volume practice, chiropractic visits are usually very brief - sometimes just a couple minutes. Practicing in this way is not congruent with my vision for what chiropractic care is – for the doctor or the patient.
As a mobile service, my overhead is much lower than that of a clinic. This means that I can have a low volume practice with longer and more comprehensive appointments. I don’t have access to many of the expensive pieces of equipment that many chiropractors do, but for the way I practice – I don’t need them.
WHERE & WHEN
- If you are in my home service area, there is no additional charge for travel time. Generally, the boundaries of that area are Manhasset to the west (western Nassau), Stony Brook to the east (central Suffolk), the Northern State Parkway to the south, and the Long Island Sound (the water) to the north.
- These are the zip codes that are in my home service area:
- 11030, 11050, 11576, 11577, 11568, 11579, 11545, 11542, 11560, 11709, 11753, 11732, 11771, 11791, 11797, 11746, 11747, 11724, 11743, 11721, 11740, 11731, 11768, 11787, 11755, 11733, 11790.
- There are a few locations within the above zip codes that do necessitate an additional $50 surcharge because they are so isolated and take so long to get to. These include Center Island, Lloyd Neck, Eaton’s Neck, and Asharoken.
- Depending on my schedule, your situation, and you location, I may consider going outside of my home service area, but there will be a fair travel surcharge added that we will discuss and agree upon over the phone.
- I am also always open to going outside of my home service area for a multi-patient visit like groups or businesses where we have pre-established a fee for the entire visit.
- Not typically. But if you have something in mind, I am always willing to listen.
- No. I also visit businesses, hotels, vacation rentals etc. If you are interested in chiropractic services for your business/employees, please contact me for more information.
- I work Monday through Thursday, 8:30am-6:00pm, Fridays 8:30am-2pm, and Weekends by pre-arranged appointment only. My children and their sports/activities do take priority, but I often do have availability. Just ask.
- It depends on the holiday. Usually no, but there might be exceptions to that depending on my circumstances. Just ask.
SERVICES
- Chiropractic is well documented in the scientific literature as being an effective treatment for neck pain, back pain, lower back pain, and joint stiffness. Many people have also reported that chiropractic helped them with a wide range of other issues, and report an improvement in their overall health after starting chiropractic care.
- This is a tough question to answer briefly here. In short, if you find that chiropractic care makes you feel good/better, and you are also doing things to help yourself (stretching, exercising, eating well, sleeping well etc), and you feel as though it’s worth it for you to budget for chiropractic care, then sure – it’s a good idea. If you are using chiropractic care as a “Band-Aid” and only getting short term relief but not contributing to your own care, then chiropractic will quickly become an expensive short-term relief tool, like Tylenol. If you are in pain, I need to ascertain if your pain is acute or chronic to determine how long (and if) I will be able to help you.
- I don’t push long term care plans. Especially when I see someone new, I like to treat and then see how you respond before I make recommendations about future visits. Everyone responds differently and I don’t have a crystal ball. But I do not ever prescribe one-size-fits-all care plans that last for months. Sometimes problems do require several visits to reach stabilization and/or relief. But I would rather help you and then get you independent from me – and then ask you for referrals so I can do the same for your friends and family.
- No. Most patients do not require x-rays or other imaging to start care. However, there are circumstances when it would be irresponsible for me not to, which include: suspected fracture or dislocation, a suspected bone growth or tumor, sudden and unexplained worsening of symptoms, unresponsiveness to chiropractic care, and others. I also reserve the right to insist on x-rays or other imaging if something doesn’t “feel right” to me. If I suspect severed osteoporosis, I may ask you to get a bone density scan, but for most of these patients I simply use very light-force and myofascial techniques. Also, if you have any old/previous imaging from a past provider that relates to your problem, I would very much like to see it if you would share it with me.
- In very rare cases, if I suspect pathology or something which might be complicated by chiropractic care, I may refer you to a primary care doctor for clearance. Your health always comes first, and I will never compromise on that.
- Not a problem. There are many techniques, both soft tissue and manipulative, that do not necessitate that “crack” sound happening. In fact, even when doing an adjustment where audible sounds are typical/common, they are not necessary and do not a requirement for a “good” adjustment. This has been proven many times in scientific studies.
FINANCIAL
- Fees are due at the end of the visit. Payments can be made with cash, personal check, major credit card, Venmo, or Zelle.
- Please refer to the “WHERE & WHEN” section of the FAQ where this question is answered. In short, if you are in my home service area, no – there is no additional fee for travel.
- I do not. But I will gladly provide you with a receipt if you want to attempt reimbursement from your insurance company. Receipts are provided by email and only show the date of the visit and the fee. I do not provide diagnoses, diagnosis codes, or treatment codes. I also do not assist in reimbursements from insurance companies in any way.
- No. No. And no. But I can refer you to good chiropractors who do - but they are not mobile (they have offices).
- Sorry, no and no.
